The Oregon state legislature's emergency budget board approved a budget of $34 million for the state's various health departments and organizations, according to The Lund Report.
The legislature approved $10.6 million in funding for HHS and $23.4 million for the Oregon Health Authority. Both amounts were less than what the agencies requested, roughly $13.1 million and $38.6 million, respectively.
Some of the deficit may be filled after the legislature convenes for its next session in February, according to the article.
