Dedication of the new 862-bed Parkland hospital in Dallas was scheduled to take place March 30.
More than 400 community leaders, faith-based representatives, elected officials and donors were expected to join Parkland staff for the occasion, according to a news release.
The new 17-story Parkland hospital features nearly 30 operating rooms, a 120-bed emergency department, four-level atrium, parking for 2,000 vehicles and a central energy plant.
The facility is scheduled to open for patient care Aug. 20.
