The new $623 million National Jewish Health-Saint Joseph Hospital is about to open in Denver, according to a Denver Business Journal report.
The new facility will be jointly operated by SCL Health and National Jewish, both based in Denver, according to the report.
Here are some facts about the new facility from Saint Joseph's website:
1. The new facility has 365 private patient rooms and 831,321 square feet of space.
2. The campus includes nearly 600 trees and 3.5 acres of parks and garden areas.
3. Sixty-five percent of construction materials were recycled or diverted from landfills.
4. There are 42 total emergency department beds, five "fast track" beds for urgent care and 12 dedicated senior ED rooms.
