Chicago-based Navigant Consulting tapped Christopher Stanley, MD, as a director in its healthcare practice.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Stanley.
1. Dr. Stanley has 25 years of health system and payer leadership experience. He is a trained pediatrician and a retired U.S. Army major.
2. As a director at Navigant, Dr. Stanley will counsel providers and payers on implementing value-based reimbursement and population health models.
3. He most recently was system vice president of population health for Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, during which he oversaw population health efforts for more than 100 hospitals across 17 states. His efforts included managing the Medicare Shared Savings Program, Medicaid and commercial payers across 10 ACOs and serving as CMO for CHI's employee health plan.
4. Dr. Stanley was also CMO for UnitedHealthcare of Colorado and worked at Schering-Plough Corp.
