The Macon, Ga.-based Children's Hospital Navicent Health received two donations totaling $6 million to support the rebuild the hospital at a new location in Macon, according to The Telegraph.
The two donations — $4 million from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and $1 million from Beverly Olson, a longtime philanthropist and hospital volunteer — will help add new technology to attract the physicians and staff needed to make the new, larger facility successful.
The hospital will be renamed Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, Navicent Health, to honor Ms. Olson's contributions to the hospital, which now total $25 million.
