Moody's upgrades Willis-Knighton Medical Center's rating to 'A1'

Moody's Investors Service has upgraded Shreveport, La.-based Willis-Knighton Medical Center's revenue bonds to "A1" from "A2," affecting $145 million of outstanding revenue bonds issued through the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority.

The upgrade is based on a number of factors, including Willis-Knighton's strengthened market presence and stellar operating performance.

The medical center also faces numerous challenges, including weaker days cash on hand compared to its peers.

The outlook is revised to stable from positive, reflecting Moody's Investors Service's expectation that Willis-Knighton will continue to generate strong operating performance and maintain a healthy balance sheet.
