Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System has the highest rating from Moody's Investors Service and S&P Global Ratings among health systems in New Jersey.
Moody's Investors Service recently raised its rating on Atlantic Health System from "A1" to "Aa3." The rating upgrade was based on several factors, including the health system's stable operating performance, balance sheet growth and favorable market position.
S&P recently affirmed its "AA-" rating on Atlantic Health System. The affirmation was based on a number of factors, including the health system's strong market position. Only one other health system in New Jersey has an "AA-" rating from S&P.
Atlantic Health System's outlook with Moody's and S&P is stable.
"These ratings further demonstrate the value of developing our connections to the communities we serve through wise growth, investment in innovation and continuously improving care," Kevin Lenahan, senior vice president, CFO and chief administrative officer of Atlantic Health System, said in a press release.
