Moody's Investors Service has downgraded Tupelo, Miss.-based North Mississippi Health Services' long-term rating from "Aa3" to "A1," affecting $111 million of outstanding rated bonds.
The downgrade reflects Moody's expectation that while the system's operating performance has shown improvement, it will remain below historic levels due to ongoing reimbursement challenges and rising expenses.
The rating outlook has been revised form negative to stable.
