Moody's downgrades East Jefferson General Hospital's rating to 'Ba3'

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded the rating on Metairie, La.-based East Jefferson General Hospital's outstanding debt of $154 million to "Ba3" from "Ba2."

The rating downgrade reflects inpatient volume contractions through fiscal year 2015.

The outlook is negative, reflecting potential forthcoming rating pressure if EJGH's efforts to increase volumes and revenue fall through.
