Missouri health center taps Cerner for RCM

Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care will deploy Cerner's revenue cycle management offerings at various facilities.

The academic health center will specifically integrate Cerner's registration, scheduling, patient accounting and practice management solutions and transaction services with its existing Cerner EHR, according to a news release.

The integration is meant to help MU Health Care improve the billing process and clinical documentation to maximize reimbursement, and it will occur across five hospitals as well as more than 50 primary and specialty care clinics.

The agreement builds on MU Health Care's existing relationship with Cerner by merging clinical and financial data into one integrated system.
