Cincinnati-based Mercy Health chose healthcare revenue cycle management company PMMC for contract management and modeling.
Through the partnership, Mercy Health will have access to PMMC's hospital and physician contract management system, according to a Monday news release. The system, which provides reporting and analytics, is designed to determine various trends in denials, as well as underpayments and overpayments, and offer Mercy Health a benefit in payer contract negotiations.
Tom Golias, chief managed care officer at Mercy Health, said in a statement: "The strategic partnership with PMMC is the key to us becoming more targeted and efficient in our managed care function through the back end of the revenue cycle and monitoring payer performance, which in turn, will allow us to continue to focus on serving the community."
