Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston has announced the opening of its new Memorial Hermann Wound Care outpatient center.
The new center — staffed by physicians, nurses and technicians with advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy — provides a comprehensive approach to treating patients with chronic nonhealing wounds.
Each patient at the center is examined and evaluated for possible physical conditions that could interfere with healing, such as diabetes. Then, care teams follow evidence-based clinical pathways to decipher why wounds aren't healing and develop individual treatment plans.
