Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health System is planning the construction of a new adult hospital as well as the addition of a wing for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, according to a report by The Sun.
The new Loma Linda University Medical Center will provide technological and design upgrades to a 47-year-old facility, Richard Hart, MD, president of Loma Linda University Health System, told The Sun. It will include a new tower featuring 276 beds and 11 dedicated operating rooms.
The addition for the children's hospital will include 100 neonatal intensive care beds, 115 pediatric intensive care beds and 96 medical-surgical beds.
The projects are a part of the $1.2 billion Vision 2020 campaign that also includes the construction of The Center for Discovery & Wholeness Institute, according to the report.
