Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health canceled its second-quarter earnings call scheduled for July 27 after announcing private equity firm Apollo Global Management will purchase the company for $5.6 billion including debt.
Under the transaction, LifePoint will combine with the health system operator Apollo currently owns, Brentwood-based RCCH HealthCare Partners. Both LifePoint and RCCH HealthCare operate facilities primarily in rural communities.
Although LifePoint canceled the earnings call, the company will release its results for the second quarter as scheduled before the market opens July 27.
