Kraft Foundation gives $20M to Harvard Business School for precision medicine

Through their Robert and Myra Kraft Family Foundation, the Krafts have pledged $20 million to Cambridge, Mass.-based Harvard Business School to create the Kraft Endowment for Advancing Precision Medicine, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.

The gift is a tribute to Mr. Kraft's wife, Myra, who died of ovarian cancer in 2011. The donation will support collaboration between Harvard's business school and medical institutions to advance the development and commercialization of precision medical solutions to make them more cost-effective for both patients and providers.

Robert Kraft is the founder of the Kraft Group, which is comprised of more than 5,000 employees, manufacturing and distribution facilities, executive office building and sports stadiums across four continents. Numerous organizations from small grass roots organizations to major universities have benefited from more than $100 million in philanthropy from The Kraft Family Foundation.
