Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente will lay off 43 employees across several of its California locations Nov. 22, according to multiple WARN notices obtained by Becker's.
The layoffs are the result of continued operations and services evaluations and will primarily affect information technology and finance positions within the health system. No direct patient medical care positions were affected, a spokesperson for Kaiser said in a Sept. 27 statement shared with Becker's.
"We are committed to helping them transition into other roles within Kaiser Permanente or where necessary will provide generous severance packages, career support, and outplacement services," the spokesperson said.
Patient care will not be disrupted and no union-represented employees were affected by the layoffs, the spokesperson said.
