Indianapolis-based IU Health posted $2.2 billion in second-quarter revenue — up 9.2 percent year over year — and $4.3 billion in revenue for the first half of the year, according to financial documents published Aug. 3.
Payer mix by net patient service revenues for the six months ended June 30:
Commercial: $2.1 billion (33.5 percent)
Medicare: $1.1 billion (40.8 percent)
Medicaid and HIP: $752.6 million (23.5 percent)
Self-pay and other: $58.7 million (2.1 percent)
