Health insurer Humana announced it will partner with Medicaid-focused health insurance company CareSource in an effort to serve people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, also known as dual eligibles.
Humana called the partnership a "strategic alliance" and did not disclose any terms of the deal.
Humana has more than 5 million members across the country enrolled in Medicare plans, including Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans, and CareSource has more than 900,000 Medicaid beneficiaries, mostly in Ohio.
