House Committees Flesh Out SGR Repeal Bill

The House Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees issued more details of their proposed legislation to repeal the sustainable growth rate for physician payments just before their Independence Day recess.

The latest release fleshes out some of the framework released by the Energy and Commerce Committee in May, offering several options for physician payment that add quality incentives to fee-for-service payments.

The draft bill will be open for public comment until July 9. House members hope to put the bill on the House floor this month.
