Glenview Capital Management recently purchased 8,160 shares of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's common stock.
The hedge fund, which already controls 10 percent of Tenet's shares, purchased the 8,160 shares on Sept. 6 at an average price of $19.65, according to Investors Observer. Glenview paid a total of $160,309 for the shares and now owns 19.4 million shares of Tenet.
Tenet released its second quarter financial results on Aug. 5. The company reported a profit of $15 million on revenues of $4.56 billion. In the second quarter of 2018, Tenet posted a profit of $24 million on revenues of $4.51 billion.
