Healthcare startup funding surges, at $28.8B so far this year, Forbes says

Though venture capital fundraising for healthcare startups dropped in November compared to the same month in 2017, overall fundraising for healthcare startups this year is up 50 percent year-over-year, according to Forbes.

At the end of Nov. 2017, healthcare startups had raised $19.12 billion, compared to $28.8 billion by the end of Nov. 2018.

Four sectors of the healthcare industry each saw deals of over $100 million in November, including healthcare technology systems, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare services.
