Nashville-based HCA Healthcare plans to donate up to $1 million to aid relief efforts after deadly tornadoes hit Middle Tennessee earlier this month.
The tornadoes, which struck Nashville and other areas in Middle Tennessee March 3, damaged about 2,000 homes and buildings. Twenty-five people died because of the tornadoes.
Half of HCA's donation will go to its community partners to assist long-term recovery efforts like rebuilding and repairing infrastructure. The other half will go to the Red Cross Southern Tornadoes and Floods Relief fund and other community organizations.
