Spectrum Health's Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Mich., will soon unveil a new $9.6 million emergency department, according to a mLive report.
The three-phase construction project included renovating the previous emergency center, expanding its parking lot and creating an outpatient surgery and endoscopy suite with new rooms. The new ED also features two special exam room beds that accommodate immediate X-ray boards for diagnostic imaging.
The ED will officially open on July 16, according to the report.
