Geisinger Health System in Danville, Penn. will have $5.4 million to assist with projects thanks to grants from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, according to a Daily Item report.
Part of the grant funds — $2.4 million — will be used for a new parking facility project near Geisinger’s Woodbine Lane facilities, according to the report. The new parking facility is estimated to cost $5.8 million and is scheduled for completion in 2017, according to the report.
Additionally, $3 million of the grant funds will be used for various improvements, such as upgrading the emergency department, pain clinic and women's health department, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, Jake Armstrong, vice president of finance for Geisinger Health System, told the Daily Item.
