A new report by The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania has found Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System contributed more than $7.4 billion to the local, regional and state economy in fiscal year 2013.
Geisinger Health System employs more than 21,000 people and also supports more than 36,664 jobs in
"Geisinger plays a significant role in elevating the health, economic and social well-being of the communities we serve," said Frank J. Trembulak, executive vice president and COO at Geisinger Health System. This new report "is evidence of Geisinger's position as a major employer and economic driver."
