Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger and Clarify Health Solutions, a San Francisco-based provider of financial services and consumer technology, are the newest members of the Health Care Transformation Task Force.
The task force is composed of more than 40 organizations representing patients, payers, providers and purchasers, including Aetna, American Academy of Family Physicians, St. Louis-based Ascension and various Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates. It is designed to help healthcare shift from fee-for-service to value-based models and accelerate that transformation. Members provide operational insights and experience and help weigh in on policy regarding value-based payment and care delivery, according to a news release.
"Our two new members are important additions to the task force," Jeff Micklos, executive director of the Health Care Transformation Task Force, said in the release. "Geisinger is renowned as a national leader in quality, integrated delivery and service. Clarify is helping providers master the processes, workflow and information necessary to make the leap to value-based care. We look forward to working with both to further our goal of affordable, high-quality healthcare for patients."
