All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stocks climb last week.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems experienced the biggest increase — 8.07 percent. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. also saw a sizeable increase of 6.62 percent.
• Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $56.53 per share (up 8.07 percent)
• Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $71.46 per share (up 3.35 percent)
• LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $73.78 per share (up 3.92 percent)
• Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $61.53 per share (up 6.62 percent)
• Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $111.71 per share (up 3.87 percent)
