Hospital stocks were up by more than 4 percent last week for all five major for-profit companies.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw its stock rise 7.47 percent, closing at $44.89. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services' shares rose 5.86 percent on the week to $94.82, and Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals saw its stock rise 5.32 percent to close at $64.50.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of American stock increased nearly 5 percent to $55.59 per share. Finally, Tenet Healthcare Corp., based in Dallas, also saw a notable increase of 4.72 percent to $49.22.
