Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.
Among the major for-profit hospital operators, King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw the greatest increase in share price, at 2.4 percent.
How the five operators stacked up as of July 13:
- Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $2.86 per share (down 7.7 percent)
- HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $106.55 per share (up 1.3 percent)
- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $48.50 per share (up 0.7 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $34.24 per share (down 3.3 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $114.74 per share (up 2.4 percent)
