For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Dec. 3-7

Four major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the greatest decrease in share price at 10.5 percent.

Here's how the operators stacked up as of Dec. 7:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.62 per share (down 2.7 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $135.86 per share (down 5.6 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $23.32 per share (down 10.5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $126.22 per share (down 8.5 percent)
