Fitch upgrades Nebraska Methodist Health System bond rating to 'A-'

Fitch Ratings has upgraded the ratings for revenue bonds issued on behalf of Omaha, Neb.-based Nebraska Methodist Health System to "A-" from "BBB+."

The rating upgrade affects approximately $209.3 million of series 2008 refunding revenue bonds.

The NMHS upgrade was driven by a number of factors, including the health system's improved revenue cycle performance and liquidity. As of Aug. 31, the system's liquidity had increased 28 percent over 2012, to $329.2 million.
