Fitch downgrades rating of John Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital to 'B'

Fitch Ratings has downgraded Marshall, Mo.-based John Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital's long-term rating from "BB+" to "B."

The downgrade reflects Fitch's view that there is a risk of default due to a very limited margin for safety as result of the hospital's weakened financial profile, with continued operating losses sustained over the last several years.

The rating outlook is negative.
