CMS has issued the final rule for hospice payments for fiscal year 2015, which would increase payments by $230 million, or 1.4 percent.
The rule continues the phase out of the wage index budget neutrality adjustment factor, marking the sixth year of CMS' seven-year process of eliminating the adjustment factor.
The rule also includes suggested coordination and appeals processes concerning Medicare Part D drug payments for beneficiaries in hospice.
