Albuquerque, N.M.-based Ernest Health is using Redmond, Wash.-based Cantata Health's Optimum Referral Portal for patient intake at 18 of its post-acute care facilities.
The portal, which can be integrated into a revenue cycle management system, is designed to help facilities more quickly admit patients taking into account facility specific criteria.
"The rollout of Cantata Health's Optimum Referral Portal is moving along much quicker than we anticipated and the immediate benefits are impressive," said Lynn Fleming, senior vice president of clinical operations at Ernest Health. "The ability to quickly capture and integrate information from the portal directly into our backend systems enables us to standardize key intake criteria which is essential to efficiently bringing patients with appropriate needs into our facilities."
