Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System recorded uncompensated care costs of $32.5 million in the most recent quarter, according to Chattanoogan.com.
Erlanger CFO Britt Tabor told the publication the health system has "achieved a new milestone in market share growth, particularly in a flat market." He added that "there is less and less inpatient business and more and more outpatient."
Net operating income for the health system was $1.3 million in the most recent quarter, he told the publication. In addition, the total net loss for the quarter topped $1 million.
At the same time, Erlanger recorded a year-over-year 12 percent increase in net patient revenue for the most recent three-month period, according to Chattanoogan.com.
