Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health has formed a Medicare Preferred Provider Organization through a joint venture with Care N' Care Insurance Company.
The new physician-governed PPO, HealthTeam Advantage, has received government approval to begin offering services Jan. 1, 2016.
"Medicare beneficiaries choosing HealthTeam Advantage will have an outstanding physician network, additional benefits beyond what traditional Medicare covers, lower costs than a Medicare supplement and generous prescription drug coverage," said Tom Wall, MD, chief clinical officer at Triad HealthCare Network — a provider-led collaboration between community physicians and Cone Health.
