Colorado-Fayette Medical Center in Texas Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Colorado-Fayette Medical Center in Weimer, Texas, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, according to a Schulenburg Sticker report.


The private, non-profit hospital with 38 beds has lost $5.8 million since 2002, according to the report. Hospital officials said the process would take four to six months "to readdress the issues from the last 10 years that have brought the hospital to this point of financial crisis."
