In an effort to make healthcare more accessible for all, Cincinnati-based Mercy Health opened its seventh urgent care facility Dec. 6.
At 2,800 square feet, the Mercy Health Colerain Urgent Care focuses on treating allergies; common diseases like the flu, cough, and colds; cuts and minor stitches; sprains, strains and minor fractures; and more, a Mercy Health Cincinnati spokesperson told Becker's.
Around $250,000, or nearly $2 million all together, was invested into each of the seven sites as part of Mercy Health's phase 1 improvements, which include IT, technology, equipment, modernization and furnishing.
"Opening the Mercy Health Colerain Urgent Care last week is another significant milestone for Mercy Health Cincinnati," Brian Gwyn, president of Mercy Health Cincinnati, said in a statement shared with Becker's. "We are dedicated to providing access to high-quality healthcare close to home for everyone in Cincinnati. Our commitment to breaking down barriers and ensuring all communities receive the quality healthcare they need and deserve is exemplified through convenient locations and extended hours."
Mercy Health told Becker's they have plans to add additional locations in 2024.
