Cincinnati-based Christ Hospital hired Ensemble Health Partners for billing, which will result in the elimination of about 12 jobs, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.
A hospital spokesperson told Becker's the hospital is trying to help affected employees find other jobs at Christ Hospital, in the community or with Ensemble, a Huntersville, N.C.-based revenue cycle solutions provider.
"We're excited that Ensemble is local, not only because of the prospect of working shoulder to shoulder with them but also offering local … opportunities to our employees who choose to pursue careers there," the spokesperson said. "We are committed to working with these employees through the transition process … and will continue to do so based on their desires and career aspirations."
Ensemble is a subsidiary of Bon Secours Mercy Health, which was formed through the merger of Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health.
According to the report, about 250 Ensemble employees who now work in the Cincinnati headquarters of Mercy Health are expected to move to Blue Ash, Ohio, where Ensemble plans to establish regional headquarters.
The hospital expects the transition to be complete between January and April of 2019.
