Change Healthcare revealed a new technology designed to help healthcare providers ensure appropriate documentation to payers and decrease documentation-related claim denials.
The healthcare technology company unveiled Assurance Attach Assist June 25 during the Healthcare Financial Management Association's annual conference in Las Vegas.
Assurance Attach Assist, part of Change Healthcare Assurance Reimbursement Management, provides a tool to identify payer documentation requirements before submitting a claim to payers.. It also helps identify claims that need more documentation, allows providers to electronically submit necessary attachments before and after the claim goes out the door, and keeps tabs on documentation until the claim is resolved.
Payers supported by the new technology are Medicare (solicited attachments only), California's Medicaid program, Blue Cross California Medi-Cal, Anthem Blue Cross–California, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield–Nevada, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield–Colorado, PacificSource Health Plans and Washington Medicaid (solicited attachments only).
