Scott Walker joined the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in 2005.
Mr. Walker started out with CTCA as controller of the Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia where he successfully grew the finance function, including six years of accounting audits without a single adjustment. He also assisted with the adoption of the patient financial advocate program to eliminate financial barriers and concerns patients have during treatment, made various improvements in the hospital's revenue cycle.
In 2011, Mr. Walker was vice president of finance of Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta where, in January, he was promoted to CFO.
In his current role, Mr. Walker directs all financial aspects of the business including revenue cycle, financial patient advocacy, financial reporting, budgeting, health information management and materials management.
Outside of work, Mr. Walker is an avid cyclist who, in 2011, completed a three-day, 400-mile bike race in Puerto Rico. He also ran in the Chicago marathon in October 2012 for charity. Mr. walker enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with his family.
