Central Learning, a web-based coding assessment application, kicked off its annual ICD-10 coding contest July 30.
The contest is scheduled to run through Aug. 27. It is designed "for medical coders to test their skills, have some fun and win."
The inpatient coder with the highest average accuracy and productivity scores across 10 cases wins $2,500. The same prize will be awarded to the outpatient coder with the highest average accuracy and productivity scores across 30 cases. Additionally, participants have the chance to earn continuing education units.
