Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill., is hoping to spend $14.2 million to update its pediatrics and neonatal intensive care units, according to a Daily Herald report.
Under the proposed renovation and expansion plan, which has been submitted to the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board for approval, Central DuPage's pediatrics unit would be relocated to a different floor of the facility and 12 beds would be added to the unit.
In addition, the hospital NICU would be expanded and would receive six more beds, according to the report.
If the project is approved, construction would begin in spring 2015 and would be completed in two phases, with completion in spring 2016.
