Castle Medical Center in Kailua, Hawai'i, is planning a $28 million expansion and renovation project, according to a report by The Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
The project will include expanding the emergency room from 18 beds to 25 beds as well as replacing outdated electrical systems and equipment. The obstetrics and behavioral health departments, the intensive care unit, admissions, laboratory and imaging areas will also be renovated.
The medical center is owned and operated by Adventist Health, based in Roseville, Calif. The project will take approximately a year to complete, according to the report.
