A $506 million expansion is planned for Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, according to a CultureMap Houston report.
The project includes constructing a 19-story tower, which will be the new home to Texas Children's Heart Center, according to the report.
The project is supported through Texas Children's Hospital's $475 million , according to the report. The Texas Children's Hospital website states that the campaign will focus on the following initiatives: critical, surgical and emergency care services; Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands; endowed chairs; divisions and centers of excellence; and charity care and hospital priorities.
The report states that areas in the hospital's west tower will be renovated once the new tower is complete.
