Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health received one of the largest gifts in its history — a $21 million donation from a Michigan resident.
The donation, from Wallside Windows owner Stuart Blanck, will support emergency medicine services and other needs of the health system.
The emergency center at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak (Mich.) will be renamed the Stuart H. Blanck Emergency Center.
"We are very grateful for Mr. Blanck's extraordinary philanthropy. His gift will help us continue to deliver exceptional patient care in our Royal Oak emergency center and will significantly help Beaumont meet the future unforeseen needs of our health system," said Beaumont Health CEO John Fox.
