Salt Lake City-based Aviacode, a provider of medical coding and compliance services, and Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth, a provider of medical record, revenue cycle, patient engagement, care coordination and population health services, partnered to offer medical coding services.
The partnership comes through athenahealth's 'More Disruption Please' program. Under the partnership, healthcare provider members of athenahealth's network will be able to access Aviacode coding services, the companies said in a news release.
"Aviacode delivers a valuable service for medical providers and health systems," said Steven Russell, Aviacode's senior vice president of corporate development. "Effective medical coding can make the difference in faster and stronger cash flows."
