Arizona Medicaid Opponents Petition for Ballot Block

After Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) successfully signed a Medicaid expansion bill into law Monday, some incensed state lawmakers in her party are petitioning to put an item on the ballot that could halt the bill until voters voice their say in the November 2014 election, according to a report by the Arizona Republic.

If petitioners gather the required 86,405 signatures by Sept. 11, Gov. Brewer and her supporters are still likely to reach into their arsenal to keep the expansion law, including taking the issue to court, according to the report.
