Jupiter (Fla.) MedicalCenter received a sizeable gift from an anonymous source. The gift will help the hospital finance a significant portion of its expansion project, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The donation was worth $25 million, one of the largest gifts the 327-bed hospital has ever received, according to the article.
Hospital officials said the donation will go toward a $50 million Comprehensive Cancer Institute.
"At Jupiter Medical Center, we are transforming the future of healthcare in our community, and we are doing this by putting patients at the center of everything we do," said John Couris, president and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. "This is only possible with the generous support of our donors, whose investments in JupiterMedicalCenter will make an incalculable impact on our community."
