Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network's partnership with RCM and financial platform Cedar led to a $17 million increase in payments.
Allegheny Health Network was the first health system to install Cedar's Payer Intelligence Layer. In one year with the tool, the health system saw an 11% reduction in customer service requests, according to a Sept. 26 Cedar news release.
"I've been impressed by how much Cedar's Payer Intelligence Layer affects customer engagement," Adam Lough, director of revenue cycle strategic initiatives and optimization at Allegheny Health Network, said in the news release. "I have my provider saying this is good to go. I have my insurance saying it's good to go. Great, I can pay with confidence."
